This charter establishes the Award Winning Artist Association as a celebratory entity
which is to operate according to the rules contained within.
The Award Winning Artist Association is a peer-driven celebration of artistic expression.
The AWAA features single-judge panels and no entry process or cost, ever.
Winning an AWAA award comes with automatic admission to the AWAA,
with grants full authority to present awards to other artists.
All awards are given to artists by previous recipients of an AWAA award.
1.) AWAA Award Winners are granted lifetime membership.
2.) AWAA members are allowed to give infinite awards.
3.) AWAA members may give the same award infinite times.
3.) AWAA awards are only to be given with sincere appreciation.
4.) AWAA awards are not to be given sarcastically.
5.) AWAA awards may be declined by the artist for any reason.
6.) All AWAA awards are given at the judge’s discretion.
7.) Judges discretion is considered subjective and unique.
8.) Judges may not revoke awards given, or challenge others.
9.) Any artist may nominate themselves for an AWAA award.
10.) Any artist who recieves an AWAA Award may refer to
themselves as an Award Winning Artist anywhere they like,
as well as display their award certificate on any platform.
For an AWAA member to give an AWAA award to an artist,
they must follow these rules and guidelines.
1.) An AWAA member may select any work of art for nomination.
2.) During this review, the member/judge uses personal judgement
to determine if the art meets the criteria for the specific award to
be granted. Judging is only done by one judge per award.
3.) AWAA judges are allowed to use any form of subjective
judgement to verify that the art meets the criteria of the award,
including but not limited to opinions and personal taste.
4.) Upon verification that criteria is met, the judge may
immediately present the artist with their award, using usernames
or real names, whichever the Artist prefers.
5.) Judges may consider a single work, collection, or entire catalog
as eligible to receive any award which meets the criteria.
6.) Definitions of all artistic criteria, including the word art,
are to be considered guideposts and not hard categories.
7.) AWAA Awards are never to be given with sarcastic, ironic,
jealous, intimidating, malicious, or otherwise harmful intent.
8.) In the event that synesthesia is used in verifying criteria,
judges are encouraged to provide details in the notes section.

The AWAA understands that the inclusion of memes as a category is contentious, however there is no denying the creativity which goes into the creation of memes, and the resonance which they produce.
It is the opinion of the AWAA that meme-making may serve as a valuable in-road to other forms of creative expression, and as such
is worthy of recognition and celebration.

This is intended to differentiate from Musical Performance
by focusing on song structure, arrangement, and production,
and especially in electronic music where live recording is not used.

This is differentiated from the Music Composition award by focusing on the Artist's physical performance.
This category includes voice, traditional and non-traditional instruments, DJs, and any performance which is
considered musical by the judge.
